Milkweed

I thought this was a really interesting plant. It kind of reminded me of cornsilk but this is so much prettier...except for the bugs but apparently this plant is loved by a variety of insects, those that eat the pollen, nectar, leaves and stems and then those that eat the insects. I hope the pictures are clear enough for you to make out the pods that hold and the silky strands emerging from some of them.
