Oh, so pretty & good thinking combining the 2! I don't think I could pick a favorite, because I really like both.
Hmmm. Like them both but maybe for this time of the year the b&w (and I don't know why). Both lovely. (Re: your comments - Stephanie Plum is super; my wife raced through all of them and enjoyed them; I'm taking them a little bit slower - on #8 at the moment - and expect to have a long relationship with the Jersey girl. She's a honey.)

Lovely flower. The two shots have such a vastly different feel to them - the b&w is serene where the color one is cheerful.

Both are very beautifully done!! The yellow brightens up my day as it is so icky outside but for the sake of photography... the B&W is stunning!

Methinks such multi-tasking is a good thing and I enjoyed seeing your yellow blossom in monochrome too. It makes me want to experiment with some of my photos. My Mellow Yellow Monday is at Small Reflections this week.
