FIRE IN THE HILLS

Coming out of Home Depot's parking lot today I could see smoke in the sky. I thought it was at Bonelli Park which is very close to home. The closer I got to home I could see it wasn't where I thought. It was close to home but not hardly as close as it was to the homes at the base of the hill.

Wow- this is amazing...This is the kind of stuff that CNN looks for in their "I-reporters" contributions!

I'm a certified wildland wildfire but have only been on tiny prescribed here in Ohio and see those dry hillsides and raging flames is quite amazing. Hope everyone stayed safe.

Thanks Tom. They got it under control. By the time I got home and looked back there was hardly any smoke.

Thank you Roentarre! I had more I wanted to put up but I didn't want to overdo it. :-)

Yikes! That would be upsetting to see. The photos are dramatic. Good job recording it. Glad to know they got it under control not long afterward.

Reminds me of the summer fires we get in Cape Town! Nice reportage style photography.

Thanks CraigW. I'm hoping we get a break this summer. It's been pretty scary with how bad the fires have been lately.

The fire looks big, hope it doesn't damage it too much.

Could it be the summer heat causing the fire ?

Hope the weather not too hot up there

Jinghui - It burned through the hills but it didn't reach the homes. It's out now. I didn't find out what started it.
