PLEASANTVILLE - Black and White or Color

One of my favorite movies is Pleasantville. If you haven't seen it, a teen age brother and sister get swept away into a black and white television show where everything is in black and white. Their interaction with the people in this town cause them to begin to become aware of real feelings and emotions which cause them to begin to see things in color and even they begin to be seen in color.

I always think its such a beautiful concept and wonder how many people, because they don't stop to smell the roses aren't really seeing life in living color. When you look through the lens of your camera are you seeing in black and white or do you really see in living color?

Interesting thoughts! When I watch a B&W movie, somehow, in my mind's eye, I see it in color. Beautiful flowers.

Torrance - I guess you can tell I like flowers too. :-)

Sandpiper - Me too. Like when people ask if I dream in black and white or color. I don't know. LOL!

Thanks for leaving the nice comments on my blog. I like the way you have the same photos posted in color and black and white. The black and white rose photo looks like it was shot in infrared.

Johntheberge - You're welcome! It was my pleasure. That photo does look like infrared. :-)

I remember that show and these beautiful pictures do remind me of it. The red and yellow rose is special. Thanks for stopping by.

I think people are in too much of a rush nowdays to stop and smell the roses. A pity, as I think there would be less heart attacks if they did.

Saphotographs - I think so too. Maybe it would be better if everyone had a camera and had to post a photo every day. I wonder how differently everyone would look at things.
