GOLD FLAME ROSES

I'm so frustrated. I can't capture the exact color of these roses and I haven't figured out how to adjust the color without messing up the picture. The camera keeps flushing out the true red that is around the edges. Sigh! Still, their beautiful nonetheless. I'll take any tips anyone has to offer. I have trouble capturing my red roses also.

Beautiful!! But to come to your problem - three issues might cause the problem:
1. Exposure - changing exposure settings might do the trick - the areas appearing too light might be overexposed.
2. White Balance - if available on your camera try setting the White Balance from automatic to manual - and select according to your situation - your picture seems to have been taken in bright sunlight.
3. Colorsetting conflicts: Camera's normally save images in SRGB. You editing software might change that to a different setting - e.g. Adobe RGB - which could cause a color variation.
Hope that helps!

Cheers, Klaus

Beautiful roses! I miss having a flower garden. Not much grows here. Too much shade.

Sandpiper - Thank you! I have the opposite problem - almost too much sun especially in the summer. I had to create places where I could get at least a little shade.
