More Lorikeets

I have a lot of lorikeets pictures because I think they're so colorful and they've been fun to photograph.

Loveable Lorikeets

I just thought these were two cute. I don't know if they were being loving or just preening each other but the romantic in me chooses to believe they were being romantic.

Red Lorikeet

This red lorikeet was in an aviary with the colorful lorikeets. In fact there were probably three or four red ones. I thought maybe it was something rare that happened in their genes so I looked it up. Nope. They're actually just a species of their own, still a lorikeet, just red. What a nice red.

LORIKEETS

I went to the Long Beach Aquarium today. I'm really disappointed with my pics of the fish. Taking them through the glass was a challenge (frown). I've still got to browse through and pic out some good ones but I thought I'd start with the pics of the Lorikeets they had there. They were enclosed in this large aviary you walked into and there was a ton of mist so I'm glad I was wearing my wig (smile). For $2 you could buy...oh, I forget what it was but it was something sweet in a little cup and the birds would come right up on your hand and drink it. They were the prettiest birds!
