ANTIQUE BROWSING

I did something today that I haven't done in a while. I went browsing through some antique stores. There's not a lot I would buy you never know what you might find and it is fun going down memory lane (if you're old enough for this stuff to bring back memories). Here are just some of the things I took pictures of.

On this trip I was specifically looking for things to take pictures of. I loved the old cameras. I'm starting to think how cool it would be to have my own collection of them in a case.

And then there were the old typewriter and the collection of lunch boxes. I never got to have one as a kid. We did the paper bag thing in my house.

I couldn't pass up taking pics for the kids in us, the Barbies and the G.I. Joes.

I wish I could post all of the pics I took and hope this was a bit of a stroll down memory lane for you as well as it was for me.

A little of the old mixed with a little bit of photo creativity.

It's weird seeing the camera in the 1st picture in an Antique shop. With a rig like that I started out in the 70's! Great selection of images.
Cheers, Klaus

I love this! I still have my origal first year Barbie doll. I also have an antique typewriter and a couple of those old cameras with baffles (if that's what you call them.) A really fun post!

That looks like a canon ae-1. That was the first camera my parents purchased for me. I wish I still had. It was stolen from my home in a break in or I'm sure I still would. I love old camera's and new ones to I guess...

Sorry about the deletion...misspelled something. I love browsing antique shops! It's always amazing to see all the old stuff and to learn what draws your eye unexpectedly. My husband has one of those really ancient cameras around here somewhere. I use to collect salt cellars, but now I tend to look at vintage buttons, lace, etc for my quilts. I love beautiful teacups, also. Mostly I just love to look at all of it. What a great idea to take photos!

Klaus - what gets me about that camera only being from the 70's is I start to realize that was almost 40 yrs. ago. :-( LOL!

Sandpiper - I'm so glad someone liked this post other than me. :-D

Galerainwater - Thank you. After seeing those old cameras I'm considering collecting a few.

Mary - I wish I had taken more photos or could have posted all the ones I did take. I almost bought some earrings. :-) I may still go back and get them.
