Just some clipped shots of a couple of succulents. I also tried these in black and white. I'm not sure which I like better. I'd appreciate knowing what you think.
While I'm a big fan of black & white pics, in this case the color is better I think...especially the one with the pink tips. You did a good job with the cropping!
I prefer the black and white images. The B&W's are more about form and texture, the color doesn't compete with the composition. These would make an interesting print series hanging on a wall.
I'd vote for the color photos. That's purely based on personal preference, but I agree with those that see the artistic value of the pink in the thorns.
Thank you all for your input! I thought it would make a great series to see on a wall too. I do like the pink tips in the colored ones but there is something about the shadows of the black and whites. Thank you all!! :-D

The pink thorns at the edges give a surprising turn of perception when finding them. Nice.

I like the focus that the red tips on the thorns gives the color versions. But, I like the B & W too for different reasons. :c)
Great close up shots, nice use on the B&W, like emtpcowzwn

Though to decide - I'd probably go with B/W. As John said - the color plays the 2nd fiddle here.
Cheers, Klaus
