Sky Watch Friday #12

These were taken in February of this year during a period when we got a lot of rain here in Southern California. I'm tired of this heat and I'm hoping we'll get more of that much needed rain.

I can sympathize. We need some rain here, too! Love the shot with all those birds.

I love the "dark" in these...

The first photo is just so dark and forbidding.

I'll swap your sunshine for the rain we're having right now :0)

Thanks for dropping by.

Very beautiful, although the reminder of rain makes me hope for sunshine today for we have had much rain recently and the ground is full of minature ponds on my lawns. I love the sky full of birds also for that looks much lioke a migrating sky, or gulls!

It was 36 degrees when I got up this morning, a tad cooler than your part of the world.

These are great! I love the composition of that first one with the touch of sun, the spooky clouds and that tree on the side. The bottom one really shows the huge flock of birds! We need rain here, too. I know it will come soon and then I may want it to to away again, but we are really dry.

Yep, rain sure can be beautiful! Happy Sky Watch!

Since you needed the rain, those were happy clouds. :-) I guess the birds were happy too?

Love the first photograph, I like fence rows, and although it doesn't exactly look like an old fence row with this light it still gives that appearance.

"Rainy days and Mondays always get me down."

...But beautiful SkyWatch Friday images like these more than make up for it. Absolute gorgeous!

Oh, and regarding the "blocked" post... I've seen plenty of your comments elsewhere and a couple at my site, and I've never seen anything that seemed negative or offensive in the least. In fact, you always seem to go out of your way to be positive and encouraging in comments. Sorry it happened, but don't blame yourself!

I'm running late again. Beautiful shots! Love the birds in the second photo. The first one looks like a storm brewing.
