This is lovely! I have some watery pics sitting on my computer; must do homework with my daughter. If they don't go up this week, I'll try next week...
GMJ - Actually, this was taken at the zoo. They had a great spot to play in a waterfall. :-)
Darla - Thanks. I'm kind of crazy when I shoot. I'm so afraid I'm actually taking a blurred photo that I tend to take too many. I'll easily take 300-400 shots when I go someplace. Trust, out of that many some of them will be wonderful! LOL!
He looks so serene and I love the color combo of the aqua water, white foam, and grey bird. Nature does color combos better than anything man could ever think of.
I think what makes this photo work so well is that frothy water up in the top left corner... It keep my eye in the center of the pic plus it adds to the feeling of the water being so choppy, as he is sitting there looking so calm and relaxed! Nice! thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment!

I've never seen a pelican in real life, so this is GREAT!
excellent capture! love your gorgeous pelican, beautiful...
very watery indeed and beautiful!
A nice-looking pelican -- but look at the wonderful color of that water!
Another beautiful photo of our friend the pelican. He is magnificent.
I notice you said it was taken at the zoo - the water is so clean and fresh looking - must be a really nice zoo! They all aren't the same sadly.
Watery Wednesday? I thought it was Wordless Wednesday? And since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, shouldn't that be a turkey instead of a pelican?
OK, I'll stop make trouble and be off now. LOL.
Happy WW and Thanksgiving!
I think Pelicans are magnificent birds and I love this picture! Happy Watery Wednesday!
I love seeing all of the wildlife posts on the web. It's a good sign to me. Thanks for putting watery world together.
What beautiful color in that water!

And I made it this time with WW. ;)
