I've Been Busy

I've been a little busy and distracted. I'm editing a lot of photos right now and preparing to update a website I work on. I went to a church Christmas breakfast yesterday that was really nice. I'm the photo taker. I'm so disappointed with the quality, the lighting and focus and I was so frustrated in how many shots came up out of focus. It was as if my camera was suddenly on strike and just refused to do right. I'd use the flash - too light. Not use the flash - too dark. Zoom in - clear. Zoom in again - too fuzzy. It was completely inconsistent! I got some nice shots but missed a lot and the ones that were perfect compositions came out not in sharp focus. Urrrrghhh!!

Oh well. I've got a lot of practice with this stupid camera when it comes to taking photos of people. In the meantime, I thought I'd share a couple of shots of my great niece and nephew. I don't have any children and these little tykes just fill my heart with joy when I enter the room and they run to me and nearly knock me down to hug me.

Oh my gosh - I remember singing that song when I was little, too! Awesome.

And I love the little dress with the red piping on the hem - adorable!

I know how you feel...take comfort in knowing you are not alone in your frustration! :-) It is amazing how some days you feel like a pro and other days, a complete novice...

I like the picture of the dress moving. It is so cute. I have to take at least 3 of the same pictures because they always blurr or come out awful. Sometimes all of them come out awful. Sometimes I get a good one.

How adorable are they? :c) I can see why you want to be on the receiving end of those smiles and hugs.

What lovely looking children 2sweetnsaxy!! You must be a very proud aunt!!

Photography can be SO frustrating at times. It seems like when we really want things to come out right they don't and vica versa. Grrr!!

They are adorable! Love the candids.
I can't stand when my camera is "pms-ing." (Of course, it's the camera, not me :). Hope it's sorted out soon and take time to relax too, my new blogger friend.

Hugs,
gel

Mary - Thank you so much! Of course, I think they're just too cute for words. :-)

Gel - Thanks. I blame the camera too. :-D I did relax today, maybe too much.

Such an enjoyable post and the video was great. I am still smiling. Yes I can see how you are a very proud auntie. Your niece and nephew are adorable. I understand your frustration, I think we are our own worst critiques but truly, I do think these photographs are wonderful.
