My World Tuesday #9

I've been wanting rain. Well, we finally got it and we got it good. It started raining last night and it's been raining all day today off and on. It also means there's plenty of snow in the mountains. I thought I would head towards the mountains to see how far I could get without chains but the closer I got the foggier it got so I turned around and just went to the market instead.

It was only sprinkling when I went into the market but a downpour when I came out so I got just a little wet because I didn't take my umbrella with me.

When I headed towards the freeway for home the low clouds had lifted and I could see some of the snow from the mountains peeking through so despite my ice cream melting in the car I headed towards the mountains anyway. How could I resist? I had to get at least one shot of what is promising to be on the rest of the mountains and soon as the clouds lift so we can see them.

And this was my last shot as I got off the freeway. They sky looked really ugly but there was this one patch of blue off to the right.

Great photos. I like the ones through the windshield and love the beautiful scenes at the end. You must take your camera everywhere!

Glad you finally got some rain. When the fog lifts maybe you can check out the snow at higher elevations.

That rain you got came my way as snow. That last shot is so ugly it's beautiful. Nice MWT.

We had rain here too started last Sat. Even the highest elevations here in the bay area are seeing some snow fall. But I aint as brave as you to drive up to the mountains. Nice chronicle of your day.

It is strange but I never associate snow with California. To me they are not compatible, but it just goes to show!! LOL!! A lovely series.

I loved how you persisted in hunting just for one good sighting of the snow.
It is always so inspiring when it comes.
