Pumpkins

One of the things Descanso Gardens did for Autumn was to have a few displays of bales of hay with a bunch of pumpkins on them. One of these displays was on a road through the camelia forest and I was struck my the lighting and shadows. I flipped the mode to black and white and was happy with the results. I've got a lot of great variations but these are the two I'm going to share. I hope you like them as much as I do.

The monochrome lets the viewer focus on the shapes vs getting caught up in the color of them. Nicely done!

Beautiful - and a different take on a typical fall motive! Good job!

I like this very much. Never would have thought of taking pumpkins in black in white. Nice affect.
