My World Tuesday - Graffiti Beach

Actually, this is Venice Beach, a really popular place to visit in L.A. County because you can see a little bit of everything - shop, eat, people watch, get a henna tat or chill on the actual beach and enjoy the ocean view. I just called it Graffiti Beach for this post and this section of Venice Beach that is alive with graffiti.

If you click on the photo below you can see that nothing in this area escaped the graffiti. Check out the tree trunks and the trash cans.

Sometimes I think that only in L.A. can a old boat wash ashore, someone paint it with graffiti and it become a work of art left as a part of the surroundings.

Even some of the rocks couldn't escape the artist's work.

That looks way cool at the beach, I don't like to see it downtown on all the new buildings and roadways.

It is graffiti beach. Is this the same one that's always on the tv shows?

Fabulous captures! I've been there, but have to admit that it is a lot more colorful now than it was when I first first there! Fun post! Have a great week!

watch out gull...you might be painted if you sit still for too long :)

i so dislike graffiti any more. saw a lot when in italy and it just really turns me off. one of the train stations i went through was covered inside and out and i thought it very very wrong to deface property that way. just my opinion.

Great shots. That's wild that even the rocks are painted.

That Graffiti is almost a work of art in it's self. Interesting way to show the beach.

Pretty amazing. Most of it is not too bad.

Lol, the sea gull remains intact but he seems a little confused about it!

All that graffitti is colorful. But I do prefer the white sandy beach. :-)

I like all the grafitti/art on everything but the rocks. Looks like there's some talent around town.

This kind of graffiti looks great and colourful, but not so long ago I was in the subway and everything was covered in black stripes even the seats. That was downright ugly.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful beach!

That boat was so funny. it was immediately camouflaged to fit the beach style. They should start to graffiti the sand too.

Is this an area where they are allowed to paint graffiti ?

It's pretty cool and some of them are works of art !

Really like the boat. :-)

I love how you focused on the graffiti in these images, they are colorful and wild! I spent plenty of time in that area when I was a teenager. Wild and fun.

I love the beach. This is a fascinating place with all the graffiti but it makes it colorful though. :)
