Watery Wednesday #34

If you haven't already done so, get on over to Watery Wednesday and see how it feels to get cyber wet. Maybe you'd like to pull out a water shot and dive in too.

This was another one of my shots that look a little abstract. It'a actually a large, dead branch in the water but I absolutely love the brushed steel look of the water and the way the water seems to fold around the part that is above water.

I really like it, too. Thanks for posting it.

Very artistic. It would have taken a few minutes for me to work it out. A really nice shot - it does look a bit like steel.

And I love the pattern of water around the bit that breaks the surface.

I think my first comment didn't get through.

That is a pretty neat image. I should try doing some abstract too.

My entry is here: http://ewok1993.wordpress.com

I think blogger is not allowing me to leave comments using my wordpress link.

Wow...... I can see it is a branch now, but when I first looked at it, I was reminded of a flight over an island looking down from the window of a plane. How weird is that.
Lovely photo, quite a mystical quality, and as you say, a bit abstract!

Love the ones you posted on the Watery Weds. site. Especially the bottom one, with the pink leaves and the bubbles all over them.

You do have a good eye for water abstractions.

Brushed steel. That's a nice way you've described the water in your picture. Very creative. I like it!

That's a lovely photo. Nice abstract and it's best in B&W. Thanks for hosting WW. I love this meme.

The subject in focus is actually artful that you have masterfully captured. Your photographic skills is one amongst of the unparallelled.
I'm one of your admirers.

I think your header is new and i am loving it. A very apt description of the water and the drift wood. Enjoy your week.

Wonderful shot TB.

The not-submerged part of the branch looks like it's holding onto the water folds as if to stay above water, which doesn't make much sense when I think about it as I keep typing this, but it really does seem to be holding on for dear life.

This one had me guess! And than the aha moment.

You are right. The surface of the water is really very steel like. I also find pictures showing water tension interesting. This is a good example of that.

This does look nice.

I see what you mean about that brushed steel look, very cool, like I said before abstract is good!

You took such a mundane object and made it beautiful with your photography! Wonderful!

Lovely photo in monochrome. I also enjoyed the post about Descanso Gardens. I've not been there in AGES but it's lovely still.
Hugs and blessings,
