Monochrome Maniacs - The Painter

I usually visit Descanso Gardens during the week. I've been able to do that since I haven't been working. But I went on the weekend and discovered that a lot of people go to sit in the Japanese Garden to paint. It made me wish I could paint. This is just one of the people I captured. They capture images with a brush. I capture them with my camera.

Very nicely done, I like the way you have the grass in the foreground. I see lots of painters in the Public Garden in Boston, but never thought to photograph them in b+w. I like it.

I wish I could paint too... (at least we know how to photographe *lol*).
I like the photo a lot and I think the b&wh suits it well!

Real painter - carrying cases of real paint - brushes and everything!
That such a rear find - everybody is just smudging photos nowadays! Thank you for that vision - the guy likes real things - loo at his hat - was it that white for real?

Nice captured of this one.

That gentleman is well set-up - obviously a dedicated enthusiast.
I always wanted to be a watercolourist but I'm rubbish. My pencil work was better.

This is like home. My partner captures the image in paint and me with my camera. I can really relate to this.

It brings back memories of my painting phase. I did that for many years and while I didn't make a fortune painting I did make enough some weekends top buy momma a new washer and dryer or a new refrigerator. Or a new something or other. Then one day I laid the brushes down, put the blank canvas away and looked outside to landscaping and did that for years and then I went back to my cameras and photography which is where I am now.

If I could paint, you'd find me sitting right there too! I always think the same thing when I see painters in lovely places: Wish I could paint! The most I can muster up is stick figures. I'm with you...I'll stick to the camera! Great photo choice for MM...

I like this one! I like that his white hat and shirt make him pop a bit. There's a lot to hold you in this image. Well done!

We went to Descanso once only, and I saw a group of students doing their painting. I thought it was a tranquil place to do your art.

A beauty, 2sweet... He seems very relaxed as he goes about his creative efforts. Also like the setting which actually is pretty cluttered with stuff. Cozy?
