I was so intent on taking shots of the water when I looked up at the where the water dropped off into a little waterfall there was mama and her babies.
Babies were swimming around having a good time, coming to the edge of the fall where I thought they might fall over with the water but they never did.
Mama was watching me carefully, sizing me up to make sure I wasn't going to harm them or come any closer and then she did something that totally surprised me.
I guess she determined that I was no threat and she began to lead the babies out of the water...
And lead them right in front of me at my feet and down the little path I had just walked up.
They just waddled peacefully down the path. I had such a good time taking shots of them!

Ha! They're so cute and love how mama leads them, very sweet and so caring.
Oh how cute. She's a very good little mama.
How cute. The babies look so cute. Thanks for sharing. I love them all. I went to the river yesterday and the water was so clear and there was a duck in the water I got a picture of. I will post it in a week. I have to go out of town again on a trip.
There seems to be so many lovely places to go to in your area TB. Love them all. What cute little babies. A proud mama too. :)
How cute is that!!!!! And you must not apologize for the number of photos, they're all great. It looks like the perfect summerday!
Gosh, they are way cute.
Well caught!

Lovely narration. Lovely photos.

Mama Duck obviously recognized what a kind person you are and was therefore willing to bring her babies toward you. You got some wonderful pictures.
aww, that is so cute, she really must have trusted you.
They are so sweet waddling up the path... :-)
What a sweet series of ducky photos ... love your little photo story and all the beautiful shadows too.
Hugs and blessings,
Very cute duckies and I love the title of this post!
The ducks around here are nowhere near that trusting!! If I want photos of them, they are right at the limits of my camera's abilities, and I don't post them. Or even keep most of them. The geese are much more cooperative.
