Watery Wednesday #38 - Jewel Drops

If you haven't participated in or checked out Watery Wednesday, what are you waiting for! Get on over there and see what it's like to get cyber wet! CLICK HERE or on the icons at the bottom of this post and don't forget your cyber goggles.

The other day I mentioned that I went to Descanso Gardens and while I was walking around the water sprinklers came on and I had a wonderful time taking photos of the drops of water it left on the flowers. These are a couple of my favorite shots from that day. I was saving them just for Watery Wednesday.

This little flower was no bigger than my thumbnail and I just love the way the drops look like jewels.

Nice clarity of the drops. Jewels -oh yes, I could so see that as a pendant on a necklace. It would be gorgeous. :)

The flowers are so delicate, and yet they can hold the weight of all that water! I love the contrasts between the flowers and the water, and the hints of reflections!

They do look like little crystal jewels! Hey have you heard anything about Descanso or the Arboretum closing they both depend on state monies along with their private contributions to operate and with the park closures..... just wondering.

It is fantastic to take photos when it is water on flowers. I saw the drop on Todys flower also.

You have a great shot of the insect its an in Swedish"Skräddare" The family Gerridae contains insects commonly known as water striders, water bugs, magic bugs, pond skaters, skaters, skimmers, water scooters, water skaters, water skeeters, water skimmers or water skippers. There are around 500 known species, commonly placed in around 60 genera.[
