The promise of rain. It never really happened. We got a downpour of hail, a few drops of rain and then it was all over. Periodically a few drops here and there if you were under one of the darks clouds. At least there were clouds to photograph for a change.
Can you see the itty-bitty helicopier in the shot below? :-)

Wow your photos are awesome, love the blue colour and the cloud formation just sets it off so well.
Happy SWF.

Happy weekend! :)
gorgeous!
I love a cloud that looks highlighted with light on the edges...wonderful!
That's a magnificent show of the sky, to add there's something flying up high there. :) Happy Skywatching!
What a lovely sky !
I don't think I know any more what a blue sky looks like ;)
These hovering clouds are so dramatic.
Very dramatic sky!
Look at those clouds, wow! Gorgeous skywatch photos today. Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
I do see the helicopter...great touch to your lovely clouds. HOpe you get some rain.
The photos are beautiful, with wonderful contrasts of light and tones.

Nice sky pictures. It reminds me of the saying "Every cloud has a silver lining." How about "The sun al come out tomorrow."
I love silver linings.
Beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by!
I love pix of the clouds that clearly demonstrate all the power building up in them. These are perfect.
Of course I can see the itty bitty helicopter, diminished by that huge cloud. Bet he was experiencing a bumpy ride! lol
I really like your sky pictures. Clouds with 'silver linings' are beautiful.
Being in L.A., I guess you don't get much rain anyhow... (it is reserved for us).
Thank you for the comments on the my colour/B&W-series! I couldn't include all in the text, but the there are only three exposure. The b&w ones have had been converted from the colour ones. However, I have not used straight conversion to b&w but have used Photoshop's ability to adjust the influence of each main colour on the outcome. In this way you can for instance change the way green influences the outcome (make the bush daker if you like) - in general play around. The largest problem was of course the last one with the large contrast in the opening at the end. I hope to come back to that one.
Clouds can be deceiving ... Great shot of the helicopter too
I like the way you got the helicopter in the 2nd shot. Here is has been raining cats and dogs for 2 solid days without pause. We must have had at least 4-5 inches of rain in these few days.
You did find some nice clouds. I like either clouds or man-made polution in my skies. Of course I really don't like polution.
Hope your SkyWatch was happy, thank you for your visit to see my Caribbean skies.
..
Juts great sunny weather you had in my mind. Helicopter is a nice add.
I miss those warm sunshiny skies with big puffy clouds-thanks!
Lovely, lovely sky shots! Love them.

What a beautiful sky! And I love the way the clouds hide yhe sun..:)
Hi from Norway..
Aren't golden rimmed clouds just wonderful. The second shot in particular with the silhuette of the helicopter pleases my eye even if they are both good for different reasons. Lovely job.
if that's a helicopter then the cloud must have been huge!
Great skies. I love the tiny silhouette of the helicopter.
