Today's Flowers - Showcase of Floats

My post this week is about the flowers on the floats in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Every year you're able to view the floats as they're being decorated and also after the parade as they're lined up on the streets. I love going not only to see the floats but because it's a photographer's paradise if you love flowers.

There were 44 floats this year and before I knew it I had taken over 600 photos. It will be difficult narrowing down which pictures to share with you.

If you like flowers, check out the link below for more photos from bloggers participating in Today's Flowers.

The floats in the parade were absolutely gorgeous, but so are your pictures. How did you decide which to share? I think I'd want to show them all!

Thanks George! Mostly it was just some of the first ones I pulled up. By then I'd already had too many to even look any further.
LOL! I want to post them all too because I really did get some magnificent shots I feel I can't share... at least not now.

Evita - Thank you. I am truly amazed by the creativity of others too which is why I enjoy the floats each year.
:-)

June - It really is something else to see in person. It may be the last year I go. The number of people attending is starting to get overwhelming. Still, I think those flowers will call me each year. :-)

To watch them on TV for years and think how they must look and then to see them here through your lens is awesome.

Nice choice to post about. There must have been an infinite amount of varieties of flowers to photograph. The one's you chose are just beautiful. Nicely captured. It must have been a lot of fun.

Such a lucky girl to shoot and smell all those flowers. You must live close to me (I am 20mins from South Pasadena)unless you were visiting. The Gerbers in the first shot are my faves.

Wow...wow...wow! These are so wonderul! Evey one of these photos is gorgeous. Our big screen TV went caput right before new years, so I had to squint at them on a small screen TV we have and it was so hard to see the beautiful floats. Must be wonderful to be right there with them!
