The kois really grow so big for an ornamental fish, I thought. I love them a lot, though.
In response to your question about the river's color from my post, yes that's the true color of water, but it changes in color from that to a muddy one to a toothpaste color along its course.
Wonderful photos here. I wish so much for a little rain to come our way.....................I know your photos have nothing to do with rainfall, just made me think about it that's all, LOL.
Koi! That's one thing I didn't get a picture of at Shaw's Garden - I got about everything else, but not the Koi! Well, I'll be going back soon, so I'll get it then! LoL! Great shots - they're so colorful!!!
Beautiful...I tried to get shots of the koi in the pond at the Japanese Garden I visited, but the water was a bit murky. Your shots are so clear. Terrific...
Great Koi shots have you been to the Japanese garden in the Huntington? I bet you have! Have a great day 2Sweet! By the way this is a new site for me if you don't recognize it.
These are wonderful photos! You have captured the relationship of the fish in their water/environment. I also enjoy your leaf images from the past couple posts as well!
I saw your turtle on the WaW site, but missed these for some reason. Didn't realize you played here too! Koi ponds are always good camera fodder arent' they? Nice work!

Koi are beautiful fish. I love the artwork on their bodies. Best wishes :)
Nice crisp images -- hard to do that from the surface!
Wonderful captures for Watery Wednesday!
Your pictures of the Koi are really nice and colorful.
Those koi are not coy.
These coy are always wonderful to have in a ond in the garden. They get so tame eventually that they will come up and allow you to touch them. :)
These fish are such glorious, almost luminous colours! Great shots!
