My World Tuesday - When A Tree Falls...

I didn't realize it had been a litle while since I've participated in this meme. I wanted to participate but am not sure how much visiting of other blogs I can do. I'm still trying to catch up with the others for yesterday. LOL! Still, I wanted to participate. If you don't want to comment because of it, it's okay.

A couple of months ago I ventured up to the lake when it was foggy, looking to take some foggy shots and a crew was there taking care of a tree that had fallen over. I thought it make for some interesting shots.

So I was wondering... when a tree falls up at the lake, does anyone hear it?

I really like the effect that the fog/mist gives the photos. Without the fog/mist, they wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Thanks for sharing.

The fog makes it look so mysterous. Great shots and I guess someone heard it and came to cut it up for the wood pile :D

The fog looks spooky. And the first shot of the broken tree really sets a scene of mystery!

It's always sad to see a big tree fall, Nice set of photos and the fog gives it a mystical look as well

These are unique shots, I too once took some photos when it typhooned here, though I still have to dig it up on my archives.

Don't worry of such returning visits, I come by your blog coz I enjoy your photos. :)

Maybe the thick fog dampens some of the noise.

I love the misty look of these TB. The question is: if a tree falls in the forest, does it make a noise if no one hears it? A good question which I have been pondering over and there are so many answers to it. :)

Amazing photos! I hope nobody got hurt.

I'm sure the birdies that were nesting in that tree heard it fall! It's been foggy like that here lately. It's getting to be a busy time of the year for us gardeners so our visiting time is limited too! Visit when you can, you are always welcome.

Great foggy shots! And I comment only beacuse I want to! :)

Maybe it was an old tree - or the wind took it? It looks like a pine tree, and they are very dry and crispy in the wood , and don't like wind or heavy snow. I see it a lot in Norway, the spruce fall down and take its roots with it - but the pine brakes. I don't know if you have pine trees....

Hi, I enjoy your photographs as always. Nice action shots and the fog makes them seem wonderfully hazy.
Don't worry about not responding. I know how it does take a big chunk of time.

I leave comments because I know how I enjoy hearing what others think of the places I blog about, but return visits are just the icing on the cake, sweet but not necessary.
I like your tree felling pics, we also have some tree felling going on it the hills above our home that we watch with interest. Though I hate to hear the groan as a tree falls1

Well, I don't know about the tree, but I'll bet someone heard that chainsaw!

Not if it falls on you! hehehe There was a huge rock (like 1/2 the size of my Toy truck) fell on the road during our last heavy rain storm last week. Luckily no one was under it when it tumbled off the cliff.
