Here are a couple more shots from Descanso Gardens, camelias that had fallen from the trees lying in the broken shadows and dying leaves. It won't be long before they've lost their color and what life that remains is as dried up as the leave upon which they landed.

There's beauty in it even at this stage in it's life cycle. A little harder to see, but still there.
