Today's Flowers - Orchids

I've been to the Los Angeles Arboretum several times but my last visit a week ago was the first time I'd seen the green house where they keep their orchids. I've never seen so many varieties of orchids. Here are just a few of them. Okay, there are several.

My goodness. How exotic and wonderful they are. I better not show this post to my neighbour. She's an orchid lover and would become green with envy. I love them too but my relationship to these amazing flowers is a more distant one. I never new there could be such flowers like the frilly brown and cream coloured one. Flabbagasted!

I love orchids, coz my mom used to have lots of them in her garden. Now, I'm missing my mom and her garden. Orchids really reminds of her.

Since there are over 20,000 varieties of Orchids, no wonder you were astonished by the different ones., and that is before we start counting hybrids!
Glad you discovered this wonderful experience and photographed so many for us to see as well.
